Bangalow Sweet Pork®

Bangalow Sweet Pork® Newsletter
February 2005

The Christmas rush for 2004 is now well and truly behind and by and large we are very happy with the results for the last calendar year. Our customers have supported us extremely well, and for that we thank you.

Over the last six months we have had excellent media support which I referred to in the December 2004 newsletter. As a result of this publicity our name has become much more well known and our customer base has expanded considerably. This situation is very welcome, however, as every rose has its thorns, this has created some extra challenges for the company.

We have had many enquiries from Melbourne and Perth. Unfortunately we have been unable to set up adequate distribution in these cities up until now. We were able to deliver limited amounts of product into Melbourne and the consumers who were able to source some Bangalow Sweet Pork ® in Melbourne have responded in a very positive way. I thank all of you who have sent the many complimentary e-mails. Also the phone calls were very much appreciated.

What are we doing to service your local area? For this we will need some help from the people such as you. In about April this year (2005) we will have additional producers coming on stream and our production will be increased and we expect to be able to supply some Bangalow Sweet Pork ® into to the areas who are asking for it. To achieve these ends we will need to ask for some assistance from consumers.

In the main butchers respond well to their customers demands and most of the Bangalow Sweet Pork ® Licenced butchers we appoint come as a result of their customers asking them to stock our product. It works like this: if you purchase your meat from a butcher you consider to be a top quality supplier, ask him to contact us on Freecall 1800 73 6606 and we will talk with him and explain our marketing system. If he likes the way we do the business we will supply product to him for a qualifying period to establish whether or not we can continue to work together for the long haul. After that, Bob’s your uncle.

We have almost got the distribution logistics in place so we are confident we will be able to start our new areas in a small way come April 2005.

Do not be disappointed if your butcher does not respond well. This is normal, we have been through over 120 butchers in our existing market area to end up with around 36 active Licenced butchers.
As the network grows you will be able to find a top quality butcher in you town, somewhere. Let’s face it many of our customers say they would walk barefooted over 5 miles of broken glass to get their Bangalow Sweet Pork ®.

If you live in a regional area, don’t hesitate to contact us. In many cases we are able to work a solution to these possibilities.
